Frederick J. Schwarzenbart, age 87, died Saturday, May 9, 2015 at St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc.

He was born on November 14, 1927 in Manitowoc, son of the late Fred L. and Lillian (Mally) Schwarzenbart. On February 9, 1952 Frederick married Doris Mae Simono in Two Rivers.

He was a 1945 graduate of Lincoln High School, Manitowoc. Frederick worked for Imperial Eastman in the engineering department for 32 years, retiring in 1989. He enjoyed bowling, remodeling homes, and repairing Chevy Corvairs and Ford Mustangs.

Survivors include his wife: Doris Mae Schwarzenbart, Manitowoc; their 8 children: Peter (Shari) Schwarzenbart, Green Bay; Paul (Cheryl) Schwarzenbart, Reedsburg; LuAnne (Steve) Hurst, Kansas City, MO; Teresa Alying, Minneapolis; Jay (Becky) Schwarzenbart, Sheboygan; John (Amy) Schwarzenbart, Two Rivers; Mark (Sue) Schwarzenbart, Two Rivers; F. Joel Schwarzenbart, Kansas City, MO; fourteen grandchildren: Angie (Mike) Cleary, Melanie Schwarzenbart, Sarah (Steve) Mackesey, Amanda Schwarzenbart, Kimberly Schwarzenbart, Michael Hurst, John Alying, Lindsay Alying, Kate Schwarzenbart, Aaron (Abby) Schwarzenbart, Reggie and Riley Schwarzenbart, Bobbi Pelnar and Jason (Tina) Busse; six great grandchildren: Indigo, Hunter, Hailey, B.D., Noelle, and Jason; one sister: Marge Price, Three Rivers, CA; one brother and sister-in-law: Don (Mary) Schwarzenbart, Fort Atkinson; and one sister and brother-in-law: Anne (Dick) Karmann, Shoto; one sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Marge & Don Kumbalek, Two Rivers. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Frederick is preceded in death by his parents: Fred L. and Lillian Schwarzenbart, one granddaughter Jenifer Schwarz, one grandson Mark Hurst and one brother Bill Schwarzenbart.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand Avenue, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. William Brunner with entombment at Calvary Chapel Mausoleum, Manitowoc. The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Francis of Assis on Grand Avenue, Manitowoc, on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.

The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

The family wishes to extend a special Thank You to the staff of St. Mary's Home and Dr. Gary Schmidt and staff for the care and compassion shown to Frederick and his family.
