Homer was the second son of Thomas Edward Hampton and Cynthia M. Carpenter. He married Lessie Viola Carpenter on October 31, 1926. Together they had three daughters and eleven grandchildren (one preceded him in death). Homer was a deacon at Leatherwood Baptist Church and was instrumental in starting Bellview in Lineville, Clay Co., AL, and Southside in Talladega, Talladega Co., AL. He was a very special person to all who met him. I miss you, Granddaddy!
