She married Samuel K. Foulk in Gettysburg, PA on February 21, 1850. They lived several blocks from her mother's house on the Chambersburg Pike. The family stayed with their children in their cellar as the Battle of Gettysburg raged near their home on July 1, 1863. Their house was used as a field hospital for wounded soldiers. In 1900 the Foulks were living on a rented farm near York Springs, PA with their three unmarried children, Anna, Alice and S. Norval. The Foulks had two married children: David and Sarah "Sallie".
