Sandra L. "Sandy" Schmitz, age 70, of Chilton, died on Sunday, May 27, 2018 and is now enjoying the company of her Heavenly Father as well as her earthly father, William.

Sandy was born May 19, 1948 in Appleton, Wisconsin, daughter of Monica (Rolf) Schmitz and the late William "Bill" Schmitz.

Sandy had a warm smile and a bubbly personality that warmed the heart of everyone she came across. Sandy worked at the Calumet Medical Center for 15 years tending to the laundry and worked at the Dairy Queen in Chilton where she enjoyed serving and talking with all of the customers. As the social butterfly she was, Sandy also enjoyed moment spent at the New Hope Center in Chilton and loved every staff member and friend there as though they were her own family.

She was a voracious reader and took many bike rides to the Chilton Public Library to read and collect newspaper articles for her scrapbook. She had an incredibly sharp mind that could easily recall numerous people and events she was a part of.

Survivors include her mother: Monica; her uncles: Larry, Allen, David & Luke Rolf; her aunts: Janice Goeser, Lila Lefeber & Susan Rolf. She is further survived by other relatives and many, many friends.

She was preceded in death by her father: Bill; her uncles: Ronnie, Dennis, Robert & Gerald Rolf; and an aunt: Rose Dickrel.

Funeral service will be at 11:30 am on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton with Deacon Dennis Bennin officiating. Entombment will be in the Knollwood Mausoleum. Friends may call at the Wieting Family Funeral Home from 9:30 am until 11:15 am on Thursday, May 31, 2018.
