Sandy was born May 19, 1948 in Appleton, Wisconsin, daughter of Monica (Rolf) Schmitz and the late William "Bill" Schmitz.
Sandy had a warm smile and a bubbly personality that warmed the heart of everyone she came across. Sandy worked at the Calumet Medical Center for 15 years tending to the laundry and worked at the Dairy Queen in Chilton where she enjoyed serving and talking with all of the customers. As the social butterfly she was, Sandy also enjoyed moment spent at the New Hope Center in Chilton and loved every staff member and friend there as though they were her own family.
She was a voracious reader and took many bike rides to the Chilton Public Library to read and collect newspaper articles for her scrapbook. She had an incredibly sharp mind that could easily recall numerous people and events she was a part of.
