Graveside services were 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4, at Clark Cemetery with Leonard Draves officiating. Burial was under the direction of Cantlon Otterness Funeral Home of Buffalo.

Joel P. Jaitley was born July 5, 1980, in Berkley, Calif., the son of Paul Jaitley and Betty (Bower) Sega. He died Oct. 31, 2008, at his home in Buffalo, at the age of 28 years, 3 months and 26 days.

He spent his early years in Holden and Preston. He attended high school in California and Missouri, graduating form high school at Warrensburg.

Since graduation, he had worked with his cousins in construction work, doing carpentry and roofing. He was a good worker and a good friend.

He had played basketball in high school and continued his love of sports. He was an avid L.A. Lakers, Oakland Raiders and St. Louis Rams fan. He was a member of the Church of Christ with the Elijah Message.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Jason Jaitley.

Survivors include his wife, Crystal; his son, Jason; his father, Paul Jaitley, Sedalia; his mother, Betty and husband, Richard Sega, South Pasadena, Calif.; his grandmother, Leora and husband, Jim Naslund, Preston; his stepsisters: Gina and Josette Sega; his stepbrother, Jeremiah Sega; and other family, friends and co-workers who will truly miss him.
