GEORGE GERWIG
ROME -- George Gerwig, 76, a well known farmer and carpenter of New London, died at his home there Wednesday night following an illness of two weeks.
He was born in New London and had lived in that vicinity all his life. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Churchville. In New London, 45 years ago, he married Miss Belsort Potter of that village, who survives with these children; Mrs. Joseph Shaddock, Brooklyn, Roy of New London; Mrs. Elliott Yager, Higginsville; William of Bergenfield, N.J.; and Miss Helen Gerwig at home; also these brothers and sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Traxel of West Leyden, Mrs. C. H. Pohl and J. W. Gerwig of this city; B. A. Gerwig, Herkimer, and Mrs. Sarah Stoetzel of Churchville. There are also seven grandchildren.
