Jonathan Quincy Adams, born on April 8, 1989, to Quincy Adams and Kimberly Steele in Aurora. He departed this life on Saturday, July 19, 2014.

Jonathan attended Joliet Central High School and was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, where he accepted Christ at an early age.

Jonathan is preceded in death by his son, Jeremy Adams; his aunt, Shirley Adams; and his uncle, TiJuan Burnette.

Jonathan leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Za'Kyia Adams; mother, Kimberly (Mark) Steele; father, Quincy (Tamikio) Adams; beloved paternal grandparents, Joseph and Sharon Patten (who raised him); maternal grandparents, Larry and Rayzelle Heard; sisters, Shakila Richardson of Albany, GA, Rae Daja Patten of Jersey City, NJ, Charita Patten, Tereshia Weathers, Nakia Burnette, Marissa McCullum, Brittany McCullum all of Joliet, and Carma Adams of Houston, TX; brothers, Marterice Richardson of Albany, GA, Calvin Russell, Kelsey Wilson, Trea McCullum, Brandon McCullum of Joliet, Christian Adams, Cortlund Adams, Cameron Adams, Cassius Adams of Houston, TX; a special aunt, Mia Adams. A host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, a host of friends, and special friend, Brittany Terrell.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25, 2014 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the funeral home, and Saturday, July 26, 2014, from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 402 Singleton Pl., Joliet, IL. Service at 10:00 AM, Pastor David G. Latimore, officiating. Interment following at Elmhurst Cemetery, Joliet, IL.
