Arvilla M. "Billie" Albers, age 91, died Sunday, May 3, 2015, at Bronson at Home Hospice Residence. Billie was born on January 2, 1924, in Falls City, NE, the daughter of Clarence and Dorothy (Meinheit) Miller. She was a graduate of Pershing High School in Detroit and received a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Wayne State University. She had been an area resident since 1946. On January 29, 1945, she was united in marriage to Roy W. Albers who survives. Billie was co-owner and worked as book keeper and accountant for the family business Miller Wholesale from 1946 to present. She enjoyed boating and fishing with Roy in South Haven, word puzzles and was an avid Bridge and Duplicate Bridge player.

Surviving are a son, Scott (Rosemary Houser) Albers of Battle Creek; grandsons, Mitchell Albers of Lansing and Thomas (Hannah) Albers of Pennsylvania; a sister, Betty Miller of Battle Creek.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 9, 2015, at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Private interment will be at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Bronson at Home Hospice Residence, Planned Parenthood or the ACLU.

(Her cousin Chuck visited her at the Bronson Hospice Home in Battle Creek which is part of the Bronson medical system and confirmed her death took place at that location and not in Bronson, MI. Thank you for clearing up the confusion)
