GERALD WESLEY BAYLESS of Orlando, FL died at home after a battle with throat cancer - he was the son of Gerald A and Bernice Brockman Bayless. Preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Karen Zinn Bayless, surviving are his cousin and primary caregiver, Marsha Mathews Sherouse. He attended Florida State University, served with the U.S. Army Reserve during the Vietnam War and he retired after a 32 year career with the Department of Corrections as Director of Administration for Region III, Orlando. Graveside services will be held May 16, 2015 for the family. A Celebration of Life will be held May 24, 2015 at a location to be announced.
