KEITH ROBERTS Our Keith passed away Saturday May 9, 2015. He was 71. Keith was born January 31, 1944 in Oakland, CA. His parents, Nelle and Glenn Roberts had a farm in Capay area so he grew up as a country boy. Keith attended school in Capay and went to high school in Corning, graduating with the class of 1961. In February of 1962, Keith enlisted in the US NAVY, serving 3 years as an electrical technician on the aircraft carrier USS Constellation. After his military service Keith returned to the Corning/Orland area, and attended Shasta Jr. College for a time. It was at this time he met his wife, Barbara Seavers from Orland. They married in 1968 and together they had 2 sons, Mark and Craig. In 1970, Keith went to work for AAA insurance as a salesman, moving to Yreka for 4 years. In 1977 the family moved back to Capay to the family farm and returned to a life in the country. Keith began working for Crawford and Company in 1978, staying with them until retiring in 2009, as an insurance adjuster, then becoming the AIC until retiring in 2009. He went to work at CRBR here in town, working with them until he became ill. During the many years back in Capay, Keith was active in the Capay Volunteer Fire Dept. enjoying the friendship and companionship of all the members of the Capay FD and also getting to better know the members of the community. Keith was preceded by his parents, Glenn and Nelle. He is survived by his wife Barbara; sons Mark (Liz) and Craig (Felicia); his grand-children Colin and Emily; his sister Linda Martin (Babe) and extended family.
