Gwen Asher, 61, died Wednesday, June 7, 2006. Gwen was born May 7, 1945 to the late Lawrence and Mabel Asher. She is survived by a son, Gregory Webster and wife, Shelley and their six children, Chelsea, Brittany, Richard, Jarrett, Wyatt and Madison; a life long friend and companion, Bill Hardy; and sisters, Betty Fogt and Miriam Trowbridge. She was preceeded in death by her brother, Donald Asher. Gwen was a life long resident of Brevard County, and member of King Street Baptist Church. She was an active community member, who owned and oper ated Shuttle Accounting for more than 20 years. Gwen was a proud graduate of Cocoa High School, Class of 1963. She was an active member of the Mosquito Beaters, Women of the Moose, and the American Legion. She was one of the founders and organizer of the Brevard County Youth Football League. Gwen was an accomplished ceramic artist, gourmet cook, and devoted NASCAR fan. Her spirit and zest for life will be greatly missed. We love you and will cherish all of our won derful memories you shared with us. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Wuesthoff Brevard Hospice, who we thank enor mously for the compassion and comfort they provided to Gwen. In honor of Gwen, there will be a celebration of her life held at the Cocoa Beach Holiday Inn Oceanfront on Friday, June 16th, from 7 p.m. to midnight.
