Borghild Axelsen, 96, formerly of Hampton Bays, New York and lately a resident of Wues thoff Progressive Care Center in Viera, Florida, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 20, 2006. She is sur vived by her son, Richard and his wife, Kathryn of Viera; grandchil dren, Karen and Jeff of Powder Springs, GA, Kim of Centerport, NY, Peter and Maria of Centerport, NY, Ellen and Bud of Jupiter, FL and Richard and Kathy of Stony Brook, NY; and eleven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Rolf; daughter, Elizabeth; eight siblings and her parents, Kirsten and Nils Nilsen of Arendal, Norway. Borghild was a devoted homemaker and caregiver of her daughter, mother and many of her siblings. She was a past member and officer of the Sons of Norway of Riverhead, NY. Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, June 2, at the Beckman Williamson Funeral Home Chapel. Beckman Williamson Funeral Home Viera Location is in charge of arrangements.
