Ruth passed away on September 16, 2009 at Heartland Health Care. She was born April 2, 1916 in Kalamazoo, MI the daughter of Frank T. and Anna (Sliss) Hall. Ruth was a lifelong resident of the Kalamazoo Area. She loved playing her piano and organ as well as other instruments. This gift remained intact almost up to the day she died. When she was younger, she would have "Jam" sessions with her friends that also played instruments. Ruth was a member of the Portage Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses and actively helped people study the Bible and better their lives. On May 9, 1936 she was united in marriage to Wellington (Bud) Dickmon, who preceded her in death on August 25, 1979. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her siblings: Dorothy LaPose, Francis A. (Buster) Hall and Doric N. Hall. Surviving are her three children: Patrick and Patti Dickmon of Ft. Myers, FL; Timothy and Julia Dickmon of Portage, MI and Colleen and Jerry VanDenBos of Paw Paw, MI. She was blessed with seven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 18, 2009 from 6:00-8:00 PM at

and on Saturday, September 19, 2009 from 10:00-11:00 AM where a service to celebrate Ruth's life will immediately follow at 11:00 AM with Marty Hunt officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
