Samuel Cole and Mary Brown were married on December 6, 1798 in Shady Valley, Carter County, Tennessee. They had ten children.
He is buried in a private plot on Cole land in the Territory of Arkansas (1819-1836). He died in Feb 1824 which was then the Territory of Arkansas which included most of the area of Oklahoma as well. No official records have been found yet, but family records say he is buried in what is now Carroll County, Arkansas.
By 1830, his wife had returned to Illinois where she lived with or near several of her children.
