The adoption papers show that Robert Kenneth Watts left Mary when she was 5 months pregnant. She tried to keep her son but was too poor and had no family so gave him up for adoption in 1923.

Even though they do not show as having any children, 1 son Donald was born the year after (1928) her marriage to Robert Watts(1927) it appears she had remarried in this year. She then married to her 4th husband in 1936)
