Betty was born on September 19, 1932 in Richland County the daughter of William T. and Opal L. (Jayne) Hunley. She married George Rexroat on february 18, 1951. He preceded her in death. She later married Myron Watters on April 1, 2000 in Chillicothe.
She is survived by her children, David (Marilyn) Rexroat of Springfield, Clarity Backbone of Iowa City, IA and Linda (Dan) Ryan of Mossville, and Keith Rexroat of East Peoria; stepsons, Ed (Sharon) Watters of Peoria and David (Gayle) Watters of Trivoli; a stepdaughter, Sue (Art) Olsen of Clearwater, FL; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and several brother and sister in laws that Betty loved very much. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, a sister Dorothy and a brother Virgil.
Prior to having children, Betty worked for International Shoe Co. in Olney, KL Birkett Co. in Peoria and then for SS Kressege Co. in Peoria.
Betty was a member of Calvary Baptist church of Chillicothe, where she taught Sunday school and helped in the kitchen. She liked making hand crafts, flowers and bird watching.
Friends are cordially invited to visitation with the family from 5-7:00 pm on Monday evening, May 18, 2015 at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home, Chillicothe. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Tuesday afternoon at Calvary Baptist Church, Chillicothe. The interment is to follow at Chillicothe City Cemetery. The family requests memorial contributions in memory of Betty be directed to her church or Richard L. Owens Hospice Home.
