Alberta C. "Birdie" Colchin 92 of Decatur passed away Thursday May 18, 2006 at Adams Memorial Hospital. Birdie was born on August 28, 1913 in New Haven, IN., to William G. and Clara R. (Sorg) Adams. On July 6, 1957 she married Maurice A. "Gabby" Colchin he survives. Birdie is also survived by 1 Daughter Mrs. Robert (Judith) Bombka of Decatur, IN., 4 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by on sister. Birdie retired in 1977 from Wayne Knitting Mill in Fort Wayne, IN., she also worked for 11yrs at ASCS Office.
Birdie was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, the Rosary Society, Harvest House, and Ladies of the Moose.
