William Burlin Henderson, 78, of Route 2, Hurdland, Missouri, passed away Wednesday morning ovember 19, 1986 in the Kirksville Osteopathic Medical Center.
Born October 8, 1908 in Worley, North Carolina, he was the son of Rufus and Suzie Frady Henderson.
Surviving relatives include one son, Alvin Henderson of Hurdland; one daughter, Carol Dill of Novelty; three grandchildren, Kevin Henderson of North Kansas City, Missouri, Darin Henderson of South Kansas City, Missouri and Leslie Ann (Henderson) Crossgrove of LaPlata, Missouri; one brother, Walter Henderson of Wilmington, Deleware and three sisters, Nona Hayes of Leicester, North Carolina, Eva Allen of Swannanoa, NOrth Carolina and Sally Menchen of Santa Rosa, California.
Mr. Henderson was reared in the mountains of North Carolina and lived there until he moved to Georgia in 1963. He has made his home near Hurdland since August this year.
He was a member of the Carson Chapel Baptist Church and served as a deacon for many years.
Funeral services will be held at two o'clock Sunday afternoon November 23, 1986 in the Bowman Funeral Chapel in Marshall, North Carolina. Burial will be in the Payne's Chapel Cemetery in Little Pine CReek, North Carolina.
