From the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Saturday, May 16, 1992:

Clifford Milton Conklin, who was retired from the Air Force and Tandy Electronics, died Thursday at a Fort Worth hospital. He was 72.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at Greenwood Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park.

Mr. Conklin was born and raised in Los Angeles.

He served in the Army Air Forces and later in the Air Force for 20 years. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a tail gunner on various aircraft, including the B-36.

Mr. Conklin joined Tandy Electronics as a technical writer after leaving the Air Force and retired from Tandy.

He also was an amateur actor, following in the footsteps of his father, Heine Conklin, who was one of the original Keystone Kops.

Theaters where Mr. Conklin appeared include Casa Mañana and the old Windmill Dinner Theater. He was a member of the Screen Actors Guild.

His wife, Ellen Conklin, died in 1948.

Survivors: Two daughters, Christina Lynn Conklin and Elizabeth "Betsy" Henderson, both of Fort Worth; two grandsons; and two great-grandchildren.
