Andrew V. “Andy” Ferrell , 88, of Sudith, Kentucky, formerly of Mt. Sterling, passed away Friday, May 15, 2015 at his residence. He was the son of the late Charlie and Ella Ferrell of Sudith. He was retired from United Parcel Services and farming. He was also known for grilling food for several community events. He was a veteran of the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of the Antioch Christian Church
He was preceded in death by two sons, Alfred and Gary Ferrell and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife, Faye Ferrell; one son, Eddie Ferrell; one step-son, Andy (Debbie) Miles; six grandchildren, Shawn (Shawna) Ferrell, Patrick (Christy) Ferrell, and Zachary Ferrell, Amber (Shawn) Rudd, and Brandi and Cassidie Miles and Brianna Rudd; also three special friends Jonathon Scott, Ruth Ann Myers and Ethan McCoy.
Funeral services will be 10 AM, Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at the Taul Funeral Home in Mt. Sterling with Revs. Rick Stafford and Andy Miles officiating and burial following in the Ferrell Cemetery. Friends may visit Monday evening at the Taul Funeral Home from 6-9 PM. Military rites will be performed by the American Legion Post #22.
