Mark J. Smaxwell, age 49, of 2406 Michigan Avenue, Manitowoc, entered eternal life Saturday evening, May 16, 2015 unexpectedly at his residence.

Mark was born December 15, 1965 in Manitowoc . He was the son of the late Martin and Mercedes Bennin Smaxwell. Mark was a graduate of Riverview School in Manitowoc. He enjoyed playing the entire spectrum of video games.

He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law: Mark and Michelle Smaxwell, Valders; two nieces: Stephanie Nienow and Tatum Smaxwell; four nephews: Dylan, Darion, Jack, and Wyatt Smaxwell; along with other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Martin and Mercedes Smaxwell; two brothers: Scott and David Smaxwell; one sister: Pamela Smaxwell.

A Life Celebration Social for relatives and friends will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, 620 North Water Street, Manitowoc, located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel.

A special thanks to his caregivers from the Lakeland Care district for all the care they provided.

The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, North 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
