In 1870 Malinda is alone with her children in Boyd Township, Transylvania. In 1880 she is living with her daughter, Martha Neely McKelvey in Cathey's Creek, Transylvania. Malinda, a widow for 27 years, is buried with her daughter's McKelvey family. There is also a memorial to her in Henderson County with her husband, William Stinson Neely.∼Malinda Drake, daughter of Hezekiah Drake and Sarah Elizabeth Barton Drake, married William Stinson Neely, the year was about 1831.
