ABBOTT, BERNICE R. - age 80 of Maryville, passed away Thursday, September 16, 2004 at her daughter's home in Pittsboro, Indiana. She was a member of Everett Hills Baptist Church. Preceded in death by: husband; George A. Abbott, parents, Rev. Lee and Inez Reed; brothers, Theodore, Jim, Paul, George "Pete", and Lee "Sam" Reed Jr.; sisters, Ninevah Self and Grace Gibson. Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, George (Jay) and Alyce Abbott of Soddy, Tn.; daughter and son-in-law; Judy and James Keith of Pittsboro, IN.; daughter, Jeannie Abbott of Maryville; grandchildren, Michael, David and Lisa Keith, Andria and Sarah Abbott; great grandchildren, Tanner Keith and Michael Keith; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara R. and Ronald Carroll of Maryville; brother-in-law David Self; sisters-in- law, Edith Reed, Kathryn Reed, Pat Reed, Pat Reed; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 7:00 pm Monday, September 20, 2004 in the West Chapel of Smith Mortuary. Family and friends will assemble at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September, 21,2004 at Magnolia Cemetery for interment services.
