Mrs. Frank (Alice) Gorman was born in Foreston, Minnesota, on October 29, 1905, the daughter of John and Inga (Rodal) Hustad. The family moved to Winger, Minnesota where Alice attended country school and later, in 1916, moved to Alexandria where she furthered her education. Following school Alice worked in the telephone office.

On October 2, 1928, Alice was united in marriage to Frank Gorman in Henning, Minnesota. Frank worked for the Soo Line Railroad and they moved very often. Frank and Alice finally retired at the Carlos community in 1965 where they had moved in 1950. Alice had since been an active member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. Alice died on Tuesday, April 14, 1981, at the Douglas County Hospital at the age of 75 years. She is survived by her husband, Frank Gorman of Carlos; daughter, Mrs. Melvin (Eunice) Muyres of Alexandria; sisters, Mrs. Carl (Petra) Jensen of Alexandria and Mrs. Sam (Lillian) Peters of Alexandria and one granddaughter, Marialice Muyres of Alexandria. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, and five brothers.

Funeral services were Thursday, April 16, 1981 at 1:00 p.m. from the Trinity Lutheran Church of Carlos with Rev. Robert Petersen officiating. Interment was in the Sunset Memorial Park (Kinkead), Alexandria. Pallbearers were Patrick Carriveau, Chester Hustad, Harry Hustad, Severt Hustad, Carl Jensen and Charles Richards.
