She came to Brevard County in 1965, and was a member of the Church of Christ in Titusville. She was predeceased by her husband, William Paul Cheatham, Sr. Mattie is survived by her son, William Jr. (Meri); grandsons, Christopher (Jennifer) and Mark (Ashley); granddaughters, Karen (Jeremy) Estes and Alisia (Matt) Adams; great-grand daughters, Erin Dawson, Makenna Estes and Hannah Adams; great-grandson, Conner Cheatham; and two brothers, James and Hill Smith. Calling hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, June 22nd, at North Brevard Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, June 23rd, in the funeral home cha pel. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
