Kyle Creighton Barker, 29, Olathe, will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home in Olathe.
Mr. Barker died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007, at his home.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the funeral home before the services.
He was born Oct. 14, 1978, in Wichita, the son of Gerald and Deba Barker. He graduated from Wichita South High School in 1997. He received a degree in political science from Kansas State University, where he served as student body president in 2001. He was in the master's program at Kansas University and was planning to attend law school in the fall of 2008. Mr. Barker was also employed with DeWalt Tools.
Survivors include his parents, Spring Hill; a sister Kendra Jenkins, Olathe; a brother, Kelly Barker, Lawrence; and his grandmother, Betty Weatherwax, Tiverton, R.I.
