Dolores June “Dody” Raley, age 79, of Henderson, KY, passed away at 12:48 PM, Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN.
Dody worked for 25 years with Accuride (formerly known as Firestone), and then moved to FedEx where she retired after 16 years. She loved to raise tomatoes and squash in her garden. She also enjoyed canning beets. She was just happy being outside. She like to read; mystery and sci-fi books were her favorites. Dody enjoyed playing gin rummy on her tablet and watching Dog the Bounty Hunter. Opera was her favorite genre of music, she also liked to listen to Roy Orbison. She liked going out to eat, especially at Eastgate Family Restaurant for breakfast. When her husband Hilary was living, they worked their farm together and traveled when they were able to get away. Most importantly, she loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Samuel and Hallie Draper, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hilary Lee Raley, Sr. and a sister, Samee DePrez.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Louis Cemetery, Henderson, KY.
