George Vanderbilt "Mickey" Rudolph Sr was born on November 22, 1936 in Tennessee, the son of Eddie Boyd Rudolph (1887–1961) and Blanche (Pettus) Rudolph (1909–1994).

He was married to Claudetta Walls (1956–2013), the daughter of James Walls and Hallie (Johnson) (Ellis) Walls.

A US Navy veteran who served during the Vietnam War, he held the occupational rank of Culinary Specialist 1.

Living in Clarksville, Montgomery County, Tennessee and was 78 years old and a widower when he passed away on May 16, 2015.

Mickey was preceded in death by his parents and by his wife, while survivors included three daughters, three sons, three sisters, eleven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a number of other family members and friends.

Funeral Services were held at Foston Memorial Chapel, and burial was in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West at Hopkinsville, Kentucky.
