She was born Feb. 9, 1936, in Peoria to Dewey and Neva Willis Chaney.
Surviving are one son, James Richard "Rick" Chaney; one daughter, Carol Gean Hartman-Walters; two brothers, Alvin E. Chaney and Clarence "Bud" Chaney; and five sisters, Rhoda Cox, and Viola Kauzlarich, Marjorie Jackson, Dorothy Reffett and Joyce Johnson. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
She last worked in the bakery at Thompson Food Basket. Prior to that she was a cashier at Kmart on University and a school bus driver for Peoria Charter Coach.
Burial will be in Walters Grove Cemetery in Easton.
