"Mrs. T.D. Cardinell, aged 81, died Wednesday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J.W. McClanahan, St. Joseph.
About four weeks ago Mrs. Cardinell was injured on a fall on a concrete porch at the McClanahan home. She never fully recovered from the fall, and about 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening she took seriously ill and died a half hour later.
She is survived by four sons and two daughters; John Cardinell, Los Angeles; Wilford R., Portland, Ore.; Ray and Roy G., Mound City; Mrs. H.L. Cook, Horton, Kan.; and Mrs. J.W. McClanahan, St. Joseph.
The funeral service will be held at the Mound City Christian Church Friday afternoon, at 2:00 o'clock, September 25, conducted by Rev. Floyd J. Evans. An obituary will be printed next week."
