Donal Lea Belcher, 55, of Terre Haute, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2015, in his residence. Don had worked for Belcher Excavating, Rhodes Construction, Bill Brown Shell, Bob Wellman Trucking and PJ Trucking. He was born Oct. 19, 1959, in Whitestown, Ind., to Albert Odell Belcher and Louise (Spears) Belcher-Hoover.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl (Perry) Belcher, whom he married Feb. 16, 2000; their son, Dalton Lea Belcher; and other children, Kristi Wilson and husband, Travis, Sandrea Delp and husband, Randy, Michael Belcher, Derrick Wheeler and wife, Jameela, Jeff Wheeler, and Cody Wheeler; siblings, Donna Hasley, Janet Posnell, Sue Vandergraff, Glenda Merrill, Marcella Weaver, Angie Coffman, Donna Belcher-Ingram, Jim Belcher, Dale Belcher, Lonnie Belcher, Ronnie Belcher, Amanda Belcher and Terry Paschall; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Don was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Tamara Roberts.
He enjoyed tinkering on cars, camping with his beloved dog, Tippy, singing Karaoke at Joan and Yogi’s and watching his son play football. Don attended Crawfordsville High School and Good Shepard Church.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 23, in DeBaun Funeral Homes Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Dr.. Funeral services are at 3 p.m. in the funeral home, with friends and family sharing memories of Don. Burial will follow in New Harmony Cemetery
