MADISON Alma Kathryn Abodeely Ellis of Center Street passed away April 28, 2003. She was born Feb. 24, 1918, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of the late Thomas and Ida Kathryn Abodeely. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Saba William Ellis, who passed away May 27, 1986. Mrs. Ellis was a member of Madison Christian Center, Women's AGLOW, Madison Lioness Club and Madison Junior Women's Club. She was a founding member of Wildwood Garden Club, past president of the Madison Elementary School PTA and served as a homeroom mother for her children countless times. Mrs. Ellis is survived by a family she adored. It includes daughters, Bonnie Ellis and friend, Patricia Kin Home, Cross Lalo near of Wheeling, Lorraine Huguenot and Michele Thompson of Madison; son, Saba Ellis Jr. of Atlanta, Ga.; grandchildren, Kim Holstein, her husband, Rod, and daughter, Rachel Kathryn, Marina White and partner, Herbert Price, and her children, Kevin Lee and Sabrina Ann, Tina Waseem, her daughter, Sabrina Marie, and son, Danish, and Virginia "Jennie" Thompson, all of Madison; three sisters; two brothers; and a host of family and friends. Service will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 2, at Stevens Funeral Home, Madison. Friends may call one hour prior to service. Burial at Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston, WV.
