Rockton Ave, died at 8:54 a.m., Friday, Feb. 15, 1991 in Rockford Memorial Hospital, after a long illness. Born April 3, 1906 in Racine, Wis., daughter of Harvey G. and Hattie C. Rein Sauber. Lived most of her life in Rockford. Married Walter E. Ralston in Rockford on Dec. 31, 1953; he died in 1971. She was a private duty nurse and night supervisor at Saint Anthony Hospital, medical advisor for Blue Cross and Blue Shield and case worker for Winnebago County Welfare. Member Second Congregational Church and Saint Anthony School of Nursing Alumni. Graduated from Saint Anthony School of Nursing in 1933. Survivors include one brother, Harvey G. Sauber, Rockford; one niece, Karen Sauber Brokhausen, Chula Vista, Cal., one great-niece and one great-nephew. Also predeceased by one sister, Marie Engberg, in 1990. Services at 1:30 Tuesday, Feb. 19 in Burpee-Wood Funeral Home, 420 N Main St., with the Rev. Dean Dalrymple, pastor of Second Congregational Church, officiating. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery. No visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials to: American Cancer Society, American Heart Fund and Alzheimer's and related Related Disorders, in care of Jane Kelly, Swedish American Hospital.
