Completed arrangements are being announced for Albert Paul Hogg, 81, a patient at Beverly Health Care and a former resident of Samburg, who died early on the morning of April 2, 2003, at the nursing home.

Memorial services will be April 11 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Union City, with the time to be announced by White-Ranson Funeral Home.

Father Joe Lattus will officiate.

There will be no visitation.

He was born Jan. 15, 1922, in Obion County, son of the late Aubrey Monroe "Jack" and Effie Lee (Summers) Hogg. He was a retired hunting and fishing guide at Reelfoot Lake and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Disabled American Veterans and the American Legion. He was a World War II U.S. Marine Corps veteran who served as a heavy machine gun crewman, surviving three combat tours.

Survivors include five daughters, Paula Norris of Martin, Sandy Gill of Union City, Vicki Reda of Prattville, Ala., Dottie Lockman of Crestview, Fla., and Bernadette Gurien of Memphis; his son, Robert Hogg of Samburg; three sisters, Martha Arnold of Florida, Joannie Coleman of Samburg and Sue Ellegood of Union City; his brother, Ed Hogg of Samburg; and 10 grandsons, two great-granddaughters and a great-grandson.

He was also preceded in death by his sister and four brothers.
