Mrs. Betty Jean Lowry Neff, age 84 of Deputy, Indiana entered this life on November 13, 1930 at the family home in Scott County, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of the late, Samuel Stanley "Bub" and Ersa Leota Everhart Lowry. She attended grade school at Sunnyside and was a 1948 graduate of Deputy High School. On June 12, 1948 she was united in marriage to Joseph A. Neff, Jr. in Uniontown, Indiana. This happy union of fifty four years was blessed with three daughters and a son. Betty was a devoted wife, loving mom, grandma and homemaker all of her life. She enjoyed volunteering at King's Daughters' Hospital, quilting, sewing, and caring for her family. Betty enjoyed wintering in Leesburg, Florida for several years with her late husband. She was a member of the Hanover Chapter No. 525, Order of Eastern Star and served as Past Worthy Matron; Deputy Alumni Association and the Pisgah United Methodist Church. Betty was awaiting the birth of another great granddaughter. Betty died on Thursday, May 21, 2015, at 6:32 a.m. at the King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison, Indiana.

Betty will be missed by her loving daughters, Sandra Kay Niccum of Lexington, Indiana, Debora Lynn Browning and her husband, Jeff of Deputy, Indiana, Anna Sue VonDissen and her husband, Rick of Deputy, Indiana; her loving son, Stanley "Butch" Allen Neff and his wife, Loretta Sue of Deputy, Indiana; her grandchildren; her loving great grandchildren; her adoring great great grandchildren; her sister in laws, Betty Lowry of Deputy, Indiana, Ruth Neff Barker of Kent, Indiana; her uncle, Emerald Everhart of Morristown, Indiana; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Stanley "Bub" and Ersa Leota Everhart Lowry, her husband of fifty four years, Joseph A. Neff, Jr., died June 6, 2002, her brothers, Russell Gayle Lowry, died April 5, 1999 and Stanley Richard Lowry, died October 10, 2013, and her son in law, David Niccum died, October 17, 2006.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, May 24, 2015, at 2:30 pm, by Rev. Chad Chamness at the Pisgah United Methodist Church, on Deputy Pike near Deputy, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Pisgah Cemetery near Deputy, Indiana.

Friends may call Saturday from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive Madison, Indiana and Sunday from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service at the Pisgah United Methodist Church near Deputy, Indiana.

Hanover Chapter No. 525, Order of Eastern Star will conduct services on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre.
