LeRoy W. Wollersheim age 86, a former Manitowoc resident, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2014 in Kaukauna.

LeRoy was born on June 16, 1927 in Manitowoc, son of the late Joseph and Minne (Adelman) Wollersheim. He was a 1945 graduate of Valders High School. LeRoy served his country in the United States Army from September 25, 1950 until August 26, 1952. On November 29, 1952 LeRoy married the former Ella McCormick in Grand Chain, IL. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, American Legion Drews-Bleser Post #88 of Manitowoc and the Catholic Knights. LeRoy enjoyed gardening, automobiles and was a friendly, caring individual always wanting to help others.

Survivors include his wife: Ella Wollersheim, Kaukauna; three sons and daughters-in-law: Steven (Tamara) Wollersheim, Manitowoc; Allen (Cheryl) Wollersheim, Bethel, MN; Kevin (Pam) Wollersheim, Hopkins, MN; one sister: Leona Miller, Manitowoc, special caregiver and loving friend: Diane Hahn, Kaukauna; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Joseph and Minne Wollersheim; two brothers and one sister-in-law: Francis Wollersheim; Arthur (Rosemary) Wollersheim; two sisters and three brothers-in-law: Frieda (Leonard) Miller; Adeline (Edmund) Schad; Ralph Miller.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 16, 2014 at St. Francis of Assisi Parish on Grand - 1416 Grand Avenue, Manitowoc. The Rev. Dave Pleier will celebrate the Mass Christian Burial with burial of his cremated remains at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc at a later date. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Manitowoc is assisting the Wollersheim family.
