Patricia Ann Stephani, age 54 of Seymour, died Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at Shawano Medical Center. She was born August 29, 1956 in Sheboygan, daughter of Janet (Flick) Wendling and the late Jerome Wendling. Patricia attended Kiel Elementary Grade School, SS Peter & Paul Catholic School and was a 1974 graduate of Kiel High School. She continued her education at LTC, graduating in 1975 with a Practical Nurse Degree. Recently she became state certified in Medical Coding. During her high school years, Patricia worked as a “candy striper” at Calumet Hospital and later as a nurses aid. She also worked at Millhome Supper Club. She worked for nursing homes in Fond du Lac, Chilton and New Holstein. Most recently she had been employed at McDonalds & Jo-Ann Fabrics in Green Bay. In her earlier years she was a brownie and junior scout. She also taught CCD classes in Seymour and belonged to the Friends of the Library of Seymour. Patricia enjoyed knitting, crocheting and spun yarn on her spinning wheel. She enjoyed going on trips, gardening, and flowers. She had raised sheep for years plus dogs, cats, most recently her feline friend “Yoda”. Survivors include her son, Jacob Stephani, Green Bay, mother, Janet Wendling, Kiel, best friend, Andrew Kugel, Shawano and former husband, Daniel Stephani. She is further survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Jerome Wendling, grandparents, Charles & Norma Flick and Elsie & Elmer Dedering. The funeral Mass for Patricia will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at 12:00 noon at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 413 Fremont St. Kiel with Rev. Loren Nys S.D.S. & Rev. Judine Duerwaechter officiating. Burial will take place in the Kiel City Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Patricia's family would like to thank her family and friends who help with transportation, sent cards and visited her during her illness.
