FUNERAL RITES FOR MRS. MARY GIBSON WILL BE MONDAY

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph's church for Mrs. Mary Gibson, 79, 554 White avenue, widow of George M. Gibson and a long time resident of Plateau city, who died Friday at St. Mary's hospital.


The Rev. Joseph Halloran will officiate, and burial will be in Calvary cemetery. Rosary services will be held at 8 o'clock this evening at the Callahan funeral home.


Mary D. Ryan was born Oct. 3, 1868, at North Andover, Wis., and she spent the early part of her life in Wisconsin, removing to Plateau City community in the Plateau valley in 1904. She was married to George M. Gibson in 1912 at Grand Junction.


Mrs. Gibson taught school at Plateau City for a number of years and was well known over the Plateau valley. Mr. Gibson operated the Gibson Lumber company at Plateau City until his death in 1943.


Since Mr. Gibson's death, Mrs. Gibson has divided her time between Grand Junction and Plateau City.


The deceased was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic church and Catholic Daughters of America.


Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. J.P. Weiss, Madison, Wis., Miss Allie V. Ryan, Bloomington, Wis., and Mrs. H.E. Dolphin, Colorado Springs."
