DENISON - Thelma Jewel Hider, age 84, of Denison, TX, passed away at Beacon Hill Nursing Home in Denison, TX on Friday, May 22, 2015. Thelma was born on September 7, 1930 in Denison, TX to Richard and Maggie Mae Isom. She married William "Buck" Hider on May 29, 1988 in Pottsboro, TX. She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company until retirement. She loved traveling and camping. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Denison, TX.
She is survived by her husband, William Buck Hider of their home, two children; Tammy Stone & Ed of San Antonio, TX, Ricky Gage of Wagner, OK, step-daughter; Debra Hider of Denison, TX, two step-sons; Lonnie Hider & Christy of Paris, TX, Marty Hider & Laura of Caddo, OK, three grandchildren; Bryan Harder, Summer Andrews, Makenzie Williams, five great- grandchildren; Logan Swistak, Lex Pierson, Ireland Andrews, Kai Williams, Ali Williams, one step-great grandchild; seven step-grandchildren; Will, Emily, Austin, christopher, Youseff, Omar, Tarif, other relatives and a host of friends.
Preceding her in death is her parents, Richard & Maggie Isom, brother; Carl Isom, three sisters; Bessie Gilley, Ollie Channon and Edna Webb.
Funeral service will be Monday, May 25, 2015, 2:00 p.m. at American Funeral Service Chapel, Denison, TX. Interment will be in Isom Cemetery, Grayson County.
