Mrs. Betty Ann Bonner Norman (aka “Woman”) of Carrollton, Georgia passed away Friday, May 22, 2015, at Tanner Medical Center Carrollton following a short illness. She was 46. Betty was born in Carrollton, Georgia on August 25, 1968. She was a 1989 graduate of Mt. Zion High School in Mount Zion, Georgia. She was a faithful employee of the University of West Georgia, and was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Whitesburg. She is preceded in death by infant twin boys; her mother, Nellie L. Bonner; sister, Cassandra “Goonie” Bonner; aunt and uncles, Gladys Bonner, Glen Bonner and James Bonner; grandparents: Maggie Ruth and Gus Wicker, Sr., Charlie and Subelia Wicker; great grandparents: Nellie Brown and J. L. Bonner; and father-in-law, William Norman, Sr. She is survived by her loving husband of twenty five and one-half years, William Wesley Norman, Jr., to whom she was married on August 1, 1989; one daughter, Olivia Norman of Carrollton; father, Nebraska Wicker; two step children: Keshia Norman and William Norman III; two sisters: Connie Mae Ransby, and her husband Barry; and Gladys Taylor; two brothers: Antonio Bonner and Don Farmer; aunt, Pauline Wicker, and her husband Willie James; uncle: Hosea Bonner, and his wife Dot; mother-in-law, Velma Ann Norman; brothers and sisters-in-law: Frances & Richard Crowder, Renee & Brock Marble, Shane, and Justin. She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 30, 2015 from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Minister Lester Woods, Minister Brian Jackson, Minister Curtis Jackson, and Rev. Lewis Askew officiating. Cousins and family will serve as pallbearers. Cousins and family will serve as flower girls. Music will be rendered by Minister Samuel Sauls and Michael Moreland. Interment will follow in West Georgia Memorial Park.
