Elmer Propson, 56, R. 2, Hilbert, farmer and mink ranch owner, died at Calumet Memorial Hospital Friday evening following a short illness.

He was born in the town of Chilton, April 22, 1907, the son of August and Louise Wettstein Propson and was married to Amelia Sell at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Chilton, May 16, 1933.

Mr. Propson was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, St. John and the Holy Name Society.

Surviving are his wife; his father, August, R. 2, Hilbert; three daughters, Mrs. Arvid (Laverne) Amel, R. 3, Chilton, Mrs. Kenneth (Delphine) Bodinger, R. 1, Chilton, and Mrs. Nicholas (Delores) Franzen, R. 3, Chilton; five sons, Raymond, Hilbert, Ralph, R. 1, Menasha, and Kenneth, Marvin and Gary, All at home; four brothers, Ambrose, R. 1, Chilton, Alois, R. 1, Menasha, Victor, R. 1, Hilbert and Randolph, R. 1, Brillion, and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services were at St. John the Baptist Church with the Rev. Leonard Woelfel officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
