Jerry Lee Coody, 45, of Livingston, Montana passed away unexpectedly Friday, May 22, 2015. A Celebration of Jerry’s life will be held Sunday, May 31th, 2015, at 2:00 P.M. at the Living Hope Church. A private family interment will take place at a later date at Mountain View Cemetery in Livingston.

Jerry was born on February 26, 1970, in Boaz, Alabama. He was the son of Wondo Lee Clemons and Kenneth Wayne Coody. Jerry was raised in Boaz by his maternal grandparents Hurbert and Naomi (Walls) Clemons. He received his education in Boaz, Alabama and was a member of the Sardis High School Class of 1987.

On August 10, 2003, Jerry was united in marriage to Nita, in Livingston. He opened his heart to Nita’s two sons, and the couple was blessed with two additional sons. Jerry and Nita and their family resided in Livingston.

Jerry was currently self-employed. He proudly boasted he was a jack of all trades, but master of none. He was well known for trading and bartering, small engine repair, construction, and painting. He was a familiar face at Ace Hardware where he was a salesman for many years.

Jerry had a passion for cooking, and was well known for his fried chicken and taters. He loved cooking southern foods, and everything was better deep fried. He was a cook at the Livingston Rib and Chop house, and later at the Pop Stand.

Jerry enjoyed hunting and 4 wheeling. He loved taking his friends and children gopher hunting, as well as deer hunting. He was a full of life, kind hearted man, who touched the lives of all he knew (oftentimes in more than one way!) His pranks, jokes, southern accent, and boundary-less ways will be forever missed. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren and friends.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Nita; four sons; two grandsons; a sister; and six brothers. He will be missed by many other relatives and friends.

Jerry is preceded in death by his mother, Wondo Lee Clemons; a sister, Jassacia Jolene Coody; and his grandparents Hurbert and Naomi (Walls) Clemons.

Arrangements are under the care of Franzen-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Online condolences may be shared at franzen-davis.com
