Lawrence J. Reilly, Sr., aged 47, died suddenly early this morning at his residence, 207 Sherman Avenue.
Born in Vandergrift, September 13, 1902, he has resided here all his life. Mr. Reilly was a member of St. Gertrude's Catholic church here, the Kiski Valley Council, Knights of Columbus, and the Knights of St. George.

Mr. Reilly was employed at the local plant of the Carnegie-Illinois Steel corporation for the last 31 years. He was foreman of the pipe shop department.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Helen Reilly; five children, John of Vandergrift, Mrs. Blair Klugh of Leechburg, Lawrence, Jr. and Robert, both serving with the U.S. Navy, and Helen, at home.
Other Survivors
Also surviving are his mother, Mrs. Mary E. Reilly of Vandergrift; a sister, Mrs. Frank Swast, Jr., of Ford City; a brother, James V. Reilly of Vandergrift, and a grandchild, Daniel Reilly.
Friends will be received at his late residence, 207 Sherman avenue, after 8 o'clock tonight. Funeral arrangements will be announced tomorrow.

Vandergrift, Nov. 10- Lawrence J. Reilly, 47, of 207 Sherman avenue, Vandergrift, died suddenly this morning, November 1, 1949, at 6:30 o'clock.
Mr. Reilly suffered a heart attack last week and was ordered to take a two-week rest. He was believed to be recovering from the attack and his death was unexpected.
Mr. Reilly was foreman of the maintenance department of Carnegle-Illinois Steel Corporation, Vandergrift. He was president of the Vandergrift branch of Catholic Knights of St. George; a member of Kiski Valley Council; Knights of Columbus, and a member of St. Gertude's R. (Roman) C.(Catholic) church, Vandergrift.
He was born in Vandergrift, September 13, 1902, the son of the late John F. Reilly, and Mary Easley Reilly.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Reilly; three sons, Jack of Vandergrift; Larry and Robert in the U.S. Navy: two daughters, Mrs. Blair Klugh of Leechburg and Helen Reilly at home. Also by his mother, Mrs. Mary Reilly of Vandergrift: a brother James Reilly of Vandergrift, and a sister,, Mrs. frank R. Swast, Jr. of Ford City.

Vandergrift, Nov. 11- Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 9 o'clock in St. Gertrude R.C. church, Vandergrift, for Lawrence J. Reilly, Sr. of 207 Sherman avenue, Vandergrift. Mr. Reilly died suddenly Nov. 10, 1949, at 6:30 a.m.
The Requiem High Mass will be sang by Fr. Aemilian Schlimm.O.S.B., pastor of the church. Burial will take place in St. Gertrude cemetery, Vandergrift.
The Brady Funeral home, Vandergrift, is in charge of arrangements.
