Robert W. Walker first married Francis Walsh on 23 Dec 1914 in New York and then he married Verda Rice in 1930 and Loraine Thomas on Feb. 17, 1940.

Robert Ware Walker, 210 S. Edmundson, died at his home. He was 67.

Born at Dublin, Virginia, Mr. Walker was the last of 11 children of George and Emma (Wysor) Walker, both members of widely known Virginia families. His father was a Latin and Greek scholar and a professor in a Virginia college. Robert Walker attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute.

As a boy, he worked for a coal company and later was in the insurance businesses in New York. He came to Indiana in 1930. He was into landscape gardening and soil conservation, which he studied at VPI.

Mr. Walker's interest in baseball was keen and in his earlier years, he played football. He served as sharpshooter in the Marines during the Mexican border dispute. During World War ll, Mr. Walker worked for a time at RCA. He was a member of Irvington Presbyterian Church.

Services will be at 1:30 P.m. Friday at Shirley Brothers Irving Hills Chapel with burial at Memorial Park cemetery.

Survivors are the widow, Loraine Walker; three sons, Robert Ware Walker, Jr., Thomas Lee Walker, and Donald Walker; a step-son, James Baker, and three grandchildren.
