Funeral services for Mary Jewel Nixon are set for Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 11:00am at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with burial at Dogwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 26, 2015 from 5:00pm-8:00pm and Wednesday, May 27, 2015 from 10:00am until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Nixon was born May 28, 1939 and passed away on May 23, 2015 at her home. She worked in child care and was a member of Church of The Crossroads. She is survived by her daughter, Tisha Holley and husband Jeremy of Corinth; 4 grandchildren, Lillie Holley, Abigale Holley, Jay Holley and Tyler Black; her brothers, Jerry Hamm and wife Peggy of Adamsville, TN., Anthony Hamm and wife Wanda of Walnut, MS and Charles Hamm of Corinth; her sisters, Sarah Mincy and husband George, Jr. of Corinth, Diane Rose of Myrtle, MS and Loretta Dildy of Corinth; a special niece and her family, Becky Horne and husband Alton with their daughter Chynna Horne and son, Jeff Knight of Bethel Springs, TN; numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and a host of friends. Mrs. Nixon is preceded in death by her husband Julius Nixon; her father, Henry Audy Hamm; her mother, Mittie Jewel Johnson Hamm; a brother, Arvie Hamm and two sisters, Marie Hudson and Elizabeth Wilkins.
Bro. Donnie Waldrop will officiate the service. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to provide the arrangements for Mrs. Mary Jewel Nixon.
