AGED RESIDENT AT REST. Mrs. Abner Swan, Who Had Lived in Illinois Over Fifty Years, Died in Mendon.
Mendon, Ill, Oct. 28.--Mrs. Abner Swan died at her home in Mendon on Saturday of old age. She was born in Knox County, Ohio in 1820 and came to Illinois more than 50 years ago. Deceased was the mother of nine children five of whom survive. The funeral was conducted by Rev. Crews on Monday at her home after which the remains were laid to rest in the Franklin Cemetery northwest of town beside those of her husband."
There is no stone and exact burial location is unknown.
