Born Alamenta Evaline Wood in Raleigh Co. WV. Daughter of William Clayborn Wood (2-27-1853 in Patrick Co. Va. Died 02-01-1916 in Odd WV) and Nancy A. Hylton Wood (daughter of Peter and Mary Hylton). She married Byrd Hall in 1897. She was the mother of Lawrence Hall. After the death of her first husband Byrd Hall, Alaminty (as my grandmother, her granddaughter used to pronounce her name) married Pleasant Lilly.
