She was born to Lorenzo Valentine and Nancy Sullinia Ward Harrison Jan 1892 in Elmore Co. Alabama. She had seven siblings: Andrew Marcus, William Steven, Mary Loretta, Thomas R. "Buck", Joseph Edward, James Pinkney J.P. and Claudius Robert. Dosie and Fred Clint Cole married August 17, 1909, Sebastian Co., Arkansas and they had seven living children when Dosie Died. They were Neva, Lloyd, Everett, James Murl, Virginia Irene, Vivian Eileen and Melvin Leroy "Lee" Cole.
