She was the former Ella Hanke, and was born in the Town of Spring Green, Iowa County, in 1896. She and her husband observed their golden wedding anniversary in July, 1962.
Surviving, besides her husband, are two sons, Carl, at home, and Keith, 420 Gannon Ave.; one daughter, Mrs. Merle Whelan, 430 Cantwell Ct.; 12 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Gunderson Funeral Home, 5203 Monona Dr. here, from 4 p.m. Tuesday until time of services.
Funeral rites will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home, with the Rev. Karl Bas of the East Side English Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemtery.
