Lucille M. Kern, 69, of Brave died at 3 a.m. Wednesday, March 16, 1983, in the University Medical Center at Morgantown, W. Va., following a six-months illness.

She was born June 17, 1913, in Brave, the daughter of Samuel O. and Orpha Belle Kinney Granlee.

Most of her life was spent in the Brave area where she was a member of the Assembly of God Church. She also lived in the Holbrook and Graysville areas.

Surviving are seven daughters, Mrs. Leonard (Dorene) Cook of Spraggs R.D. 1; Mrs. Maryetta Memmesheimer of Tyler, Texas; Mrs. Dennis (Linda) Sirk of Hanover; Mrs. Orpha Lou Stolzenbach of Paineytown, Md., Mrs. Ralph (Wanda) Bunch of
Graysville; Mrs. Davidine Sirk of Gettysburg and Mrs. William (Janet) Riley of Graysville; a son, Daniel Leroy Kern of Gettysburg; 18 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Maryetta Pifer of Mar Vista, Calif.; Olive Dawson of San Marcas, Texas and Mildred Ballard of Youngstown, Ohio and four brothers, John and William Granlee of Youngstown, Ohio; Adelbert in Florida and Walter of Austintown, Ohio.

Deceased are a daughter, Darlene; a son, Samuel; two granddaughters, Mary Ann and Lnda Lee; a brother, George and a sister, Wilma.
